BL1 Tooth Shade Zirconia Feedback from a Brazilian Dental Lab
A Brazilian dental lab shared BL1 tooth shade feedback after using Ownsmile 3D zirconia.
The feedback includes two BL1 examples from the same lab: a lab-side full-arch case and
a clinical-side veneer case.

Lab-side Feedback on BL1 Full-arch Zirconia
Full-arch zirconia restorations fabricated using Ownsmile 3D zirconia in BL1 shade.
Shared by a Brazilian dental laboratory after case delivery.
In the lab-side video, upper and lower full-arch zirconia restorations are shown in BL1
shade. Both arches include gingival characterization, so the case feels closer to a
full-mouth restoration rather than separate tooth units.
As the restorations turn under the light, BL1 looks bright and clear. Surface reflection
is easy to see across the anterior area, while the tooth forms stay visually separated
instead of blending into one flat white block.
Clinical-side Feedback on a BL1 Veneer Case
Across the photos, the BL1 veneer shade presents a bright and clean white appearance in
the mouth. The anterior teeth show a high-value smile effect, while the visible surface
reflection helps the shade avoid looking completely flat.
These photos are included as clinical-side visual feedback. They are not presented as a
full clinical report.

Why BL1 Tooth Shade Matters in Dental Restorations
BL1, also known as Bleach 1, is one of the brighter tooth shades used in esthetic
restorations. It is often chosen when the case needs a clean, high-value white appearance.
In lab work, BL1 needs careful control. If the shade looks too opaque, the restoration can
appear heavy. If the surface reflection is too flat, the result may look artificial in the mouth.
A good BL1 result is not only about brightness. Tooth form, surface finish, material
translucency, and final polishing all affect how the shade is perceived. That is why real
case feedback is useful. It shows how BL1 appears beyond the shade guide, under actual
lab-side and clinical-side conditions.
